1) What is the Date Line?
A. It is a phone-based, personals voice mail system that allows you to meet people in your
area code by responding to their voice mail ads, and by them responding to yours (should
you place your own ad)..
2) How do I know the ads I'll be browsing through are from people who live near
me?
A. The Date Line asks you to input your telephone area code as you enter the system, which
then filters out all other ads EXCEPT the ones in your area code. So you are ASSURED of
hearing ads from people in your local area.
3) Why should I call the Date Line as opposed to going out and meeting someone
on my own?
A. We aren't suggesting you shouldn't meet people on your own, in fact, we encourage it.
However, you likely wouldn't be thinking about using the Date Line if meeting people on
your own was working as well as you'd like up to this point. The Date Line greatly
increases your exposure to new people, which in turn increases your chances of finding
someone special.
4) How much does the Date Line cost to use?
A. It's $2.99 per minute, and you must be 18 years or older to participate.
5) $2.99 a minute, why should I pay that to use your service?
A. Well, for one thing, it is MUCH more cost effective than, say, going out to a club,
spending 50 bucks or more eating and drinking, dancing and mingling (trying to find that
elusive special someone), and going home alone. Has this ever happened to you? Likely, it
has, and more than once. Why keep going that route when you can call the Date Line for a
few minutes and get yourself some potential prospects to go out with? If just one of those
prospects turns into a date, then you've done a lot better than the club scene, hands
down. And if that date turns into a second, and a third, then you've spent your money very
wisely, we'd say.
6) Ok, the money isn't really a problem, I just want to know what the real
benefits of using the Date Line are.
A. Glad you asked. The major benefits are:
1) You get put in contact with people who live near you
2) You get to decide which people you enough to want to contact
3) You have the chance to meet people you'll never meet otherwise
4) You increase your exposure to others exponentially
5) You stand a much better chance of meeting someone special by the increased exposure
6) You can place your own ad, which allows other callers to find you, as well
7) You have fun! It's really quite fun to use the service and hear the voices in the ads.
7) I see why I'd want to respond to someone's ad that interested me. Why would
I place an ad of my own?
A. Simply put, it increases your exposure dramatically. Think about it, the ads you're
listening to are placed by other people who want to meet someone. Every person who calls
from your area code has the ability to listen to your ad, the same way you are listening
to theirs. So, you might be out shopping, going to the post office, or taking a nap...and
all the while other people can be finding out about you at the same time. Think of it as a
numbers game, as in, the number of people who know about you. The more people who are
aware of you, the better your chance of meeting them.
8) What should I put in my ad?
A. There is no hard and fast rule, just use your best judgment. You'll want to tell people
something about you that makes you who you are...so tell them the things that you think
will most likely attract the type of person you're looking for. If you like swimming,
picnics and going to the movies, put it in your ad. You'll also likely want to put in some
details as to what kind of person you're looking for. If you are very outgoing and open,
you may even place your phone number in your ad. We don't suggest you do this,
necessarily, but many people do.
9) Put my phone number in my ad? What if I don't want to? How will someone
contact me?
A. You definitely do not have to put your phone number in your ad, and to be on the safe
side, many people choose not to. The Date Line assigns you a voice mailbox ID for this
reason. A person who calls in and listens to your ad can contact you by leaving a voice
message in your voice mailbox. You simply check your messages and respond to those you are
interested in. Conversely, you can leave messages for those people you're interested in,
as well.
10) It sounds rather interesting, sure...but I'm just kind of hesitant.
A. Well, it is up to you. It's your life. Are you satisfied with the direction your love
life is headed in? Have you met your special someone yet? What have you done to try and
make that happen, or are you just waiting for them to 'discover' you?
11) Ok, I want to try it and see if it's for me, what now?

12) What if I encounter technical difficulties using the Date Line?
A. This rarely, if ever, happens. But should you have the need, the customer service
