Dear Listees:

I have been watching both lists, following Hudson's work and Joe Champions
home page with great interest. In addition to this group of people
interested in colloidal precious transition metal elements for health
benefits, there is another group of people exploring essentially this same
area, focussed specifically on silver.

"Monoatomics" [misnomer] = small clusters = colloids.

Hulda Clark and others are promoting the bacteriacidal properties of silver
colloids in improving many health problems, including cancer. Several
people are now marketing small colloidal silver generators, consisting
mainly of two .999 fine silver wires for electrodes, and a series of three
9-volt batteries for a power source. Such a person is Mark Metcalf:
metcalf@newciv.org (mark metcalf)
who has a web site at:
http://www.newciv.org/Colloidal_Silver/index.html
I do not know him and have not dealt with him [he has not responded to my
emailed questions], so I mention him only as a possible source of
information about these uses of colloidal silver.

SILVER is currently the most interesting precious metal for me to study
because it's so much cheaper and available than gold, platininum, iridium,
etc. I have on hand a couple of .999 fine silver rounds (1 OZ pure silver
coins available at any coin store for about $6.00 each now]. "Sterling
Silver" is NOT pure silver.

If many of these elements have similar beneficial effects, why not start
with the easiest test?

Wanting keep this as simple and cheap as possible, I took two silver coins,
dipped them partly in a plastic cup of the well water I drink, and hooked
them up to a 12 volt batter charger. A few minutes later:

VOILA! COLLOIDAL SILVER!

I REALLY LIKE this solution because it uses only things I already have to
hand, and is thus FREE and INSTANT! I quickly get a small streamer of
silver "smoke" drifting down from the positive electrode. The current is so
small the needle on the charging meter hardly twitches from zero. The
colloid mostly drifts to the bottom of the cup. I keep the apparatus in
heavy shade to minimize discoloration. I stir or shake the cup to mix the
silver, and drink it. I cook about a quart of the mixture for several hours
or even overnight to get something that is opaque when shaken. I keep it in
an insulated drink cup with a snap lid that keeps the light out and allows
me to shake it without spilling. The mixture starts out as a
whitish-silvery-gray, and darkens over a few days or a week to a milk
chocolate or sepia color. The slightly metalic taste is mild in the lighter
colors, and gets more pronounced as the mixture darkens, but is still
palatable even when the appearance has gotten dark and funky.

The electrodes darken and discolor, and my positive electrode gets a
yellowish coating which is easily wiped off, but after many hours of
electrolysis, I see no physical erosion of the the coins themselves, so the
amount of silver used is incredibly small. [They look pretty funky though,
so don't plan on selling them back to the coin store.] I've read somewhere
recently that the colloid particle size is supposed to be around 15
molecules, but I don't remember the source. The speed of the reaction
appears to slow down when the electrodes get dirty, so I scrub them off with
a nylon scrub pad after a few hours when they start to look ratty.

I've been experimenting with these for roughly two weeks now. I generally
drink a few swallows of it several times a day, but have not been consistent
or rigorous. I haven't measured my intake, but I've been swilling down a
lot of this stuff, maybe a pint or more a day of really dense mixture. My
observations follow:

The only possible negative side effect I have observed is minor abdominal
bloated feeling and minor diarrhea several times for a few hours. I thought
I might be killing off some of my intestinal flora, and ate a little sour
cream or yogurt each time. I don't know if the problem was caused by the
silver colloid or cured by the bacterial infusion, but it was a minor
annoyance at worst.

The taste of the silver colloid itself is rather mild, but it causes a very
large change in the taste of other things that you consume afterwards.
After you have the silver in your mouth, other things will taste really wierd.

I was particulary interested in reports that the silver colloid is useful
for dental/gum problems, which I suffer from. I did notice that sensitive
inflamed gums around three teeth subsided in a day or so after several times
holding the mixture in my mouth and swishing it around on the problem area.
I can't say that my overall condition has changed greatly, but at least the
immediate effect seems to be positive. [Its hard for me to assess changes
in this condition, which has persisted for many years, but I will be
watching this area.]

It seemed to me that my liver was very active for the first day or two I was
drinking the silver. I have no real data, but it occurred to me that if I
did have any parasites in my liver, I might be experiencing their death
throes and cleanup.

I had a minor burn on my arm which was not bad enough to blister, but which
was red and mildly but steadily painful. I dipped my hand in the silver I
was drinking, and rubbed it on the burn. The next time I thought of it was
than night, when I realized that he pain had stopped within a few seconds
and never returned. The redness slowly faded over a few days. The claims
of the silver proponents that it is very good for burns seem to be very true
in my experience. I would definitly try the silver colloid again in any
burn situation I was exposed to.

I think that drinking the silver has reduced my appetite, and put me into a
more positive frame of mind, where I am concentrating more on what I want to
go right, and less on what has or might go wrong. I feel generally more
focussed. I have lost 5 or 10 pounds in the last couple of weeks. It's
very hard to sort out the variables here, as a number of other things in my
life have also changed in the last two weeks, but I cautiously feel the
silver has been beneficial to me, and possibly very beneficial.

I'm very sure I have seen no serious negative effects. After several weeks
I am still drinking it fairly regularly, which for me is a pretty strong
endorsement.

NOW I HAVE A WHOLE LOT MORE QUESTIONS:

The typical "colloidal silver" generator is I have seen advertised is 27
volts. [I have read that 30 volts is the ideal for making silver colloid]
My 12 volt battery charger puts about 13.5 volts accross the cell while
charging. It seems to work fine (i.e., immediate grey cloud diffusing from
posititve electrode).

>> Is 27 or 30 volts any better, or does it just work a little faster? <<

If its just the speed of the reaction, I don't care. If the cluster size is
positively affected by higher voltage, I suppose I could put two battery
chargers in series and get 27 volts, but I only have one charger handy right
now.

>> Is the darkened solution supposed to be bad for you? When it changes
color has the silver been oxidized and is no longer available to your body
for beneficial purposes?<< I have seen some instructions that say to throw
away the solution if it gets dark? I've been drinking it anyway because its
easier and faster than brewing up a new batch every day.

The instructions I've seen generally recommend either distilled water or
distilled water with a small amount of saline solution to increase
conductivity. I've been using tap water (good well water, which I drink
regularly), without saline solution. >> Any reason to worry about what
water I use as long as the reaction works and I get colloid? <<

>> HOW DOES THIS SILVER COLLOID PROCESS COMPARE WITH THE [MISNOMED]
"MONOATOMIC" SMALL CLUSTER "ORMES" WHITE GOLD COLLOID THAT DAVID HUDSON
TALKS ABOUT SO MUCH?<<

>> CAN YOU DO THE SAME THING WITH GOLD, PLATINUM, OR OTHER PRECIOUS METAL
COINS? WILL THEY PRODUCE COLLOIDS BY THE SAME SIMPLE PROCESS? <<

>> IF SO, ARE THESE COLLOIDS THE "WHITE GOLD" OR ORMES VERSIONS OF THESE
ELEMENTS, OR THEIR FUNCTIONAL EQUIVALENT? <<

I would be interested in any answers to these questions, and pointers to any
other web sites dealing with colloidal silver and it preparation and uses.

[If anyone wants to send me gold, platinum, iridium, or other precious metal
coins, I promise to make the tests and report my results to these mailing
lists. All submissions non-refundable.]
