Australia, May 1995: Atrax robustus
Atrax robustus is a venomous spider, a spinner mygale from Australia. Its bite produces a serious toxic syndrome, atraxism, which is characterized by a phase of excitement followed by a period of stupor and sleepiness, with hypothermia. Death comes after a phase of intense agitation, with salivary and lachrymal hypersecretion, modifications of the blood chemistry, and changes in the electrocardiogram and the electro-encephalogram. About 30 people took the remedy in a 30c potency.

1. Male. Heavy sleep. Being pursued, maze of back streets. Little alleys trying to avoid being caught by heavy guys, maybe CIA they were going to harm him. They arrived in a car. Even though he never saw them he just knew they were going to get him. Psychic awareness I knew they were going to get me. No place to hide. trying to get through a gate. Couldn't. Dog on other side. need to hide, no place to hide. trapped. no options. Long grass. Crawled into the grass to hide. The pursers ran over him and they were gone. Escape and hiding. No place to hide, no options.

2. Male. Image of stone object like lignum. Frequent waking. Next dream throwing things, waving arms in air, then playing golf which he doesn't do. Then bikers down the road, glimpse them through trees. Felt uncomfortable but went to see where they had gone. Find out what it was all about. Was with daughter. Not too uncomfortable. Then powerful dream. Japanese theater. Red and black banners. Stylized Models on catwalk. Exotic clothing. Took off all clothing. pubic hair shaved. Could see their muscles and intestines. Shocked him, frightened. Then a man with something growing from left shoulder like a snake or penis. another dream; driving, dark, couldn't see but impulse to go faster and faster and had feeling that he would be killed, that if he went so fast he was going to crash, to hit another car, why am I doing this? and then woke up.

3. Female. Dream after 2 days. As if in a play. On stage. 3 enormous blisters on her foot. Then became real and somebody operating on her foot, very competent but then somebody else tried and made an enormous cut on her foot and she was very upset by this. Great patch of her hair in the front of her head went white and she felt odd as she couldn't remember how this had happened. Very strange. Distress. I didn't quite understand about my hair. I didn't like someone doing this to me. They did this to me and didn't know what they were doing.

4. Female. Refreshed sleep no dream but physical. little finger of right hand numb painful paralyzed. Campbell de morgan spots which turned bright red. bruises on right arm next day. Discharge from both eyes in morning, pale yellow. Red rash under her breasts. Has had all these symptoms before with Phosphorus, Causticum and Sepia.

5. Female. Repetitious dream but slightly different. Aunt died 1 yr. ago in reality and was very close to her and since this time has had this recurrent dream. This aunt was almost like her mother they were so close. Aunt has had many strokes and became severely paranoid. Recurrent dream since death of aunt. Dreams sorting through the house after aunt died. In past go into her room to sort out and arrange her papers and affairs and find her in her bed watching me even though she was dead. Terrible feeling of invading her space. This new dream. Aunt was not in any of the beds or in any of the chairs. Awoke crying. Dream stayed with her. Could not concentrate in the seminar as dream still affecting her. in life. Aunt extremely weird. Accused her of stealing her things. Very paranoid and very mean. Sit in her chair the whole day. If spent too much time in toilet she accused you of doing some thing underhand. In dream just watching her. Never said a word. Eyes just follow her. After waking like the dream stayed with me. In life Visiting her it was as if I had to put on my armor. Like a battle. When woke from this last dream, felt as if the war was over. Such a turmoil so full of hatred I wished her dead. Each time she would nearly die, I would rush to the hospital then have a resurrection just to spite me. She was venomous. She could destroy people. She sat in her chair and waited for people to come to her. lots of money and spent nothing.

6. Male. Woke refreshed. went for a walk. Saw a bag lady. Sitting at bus stop wearing all her clothes at once. As if spent night in bus shelter. He decided to buy a cup of coffee for her. She rejected it. No trash near I don't presume on strangers. He didn't really mind. During whole day he felt detached but in good shape. Unusual activity for him.

7. Female. I couldn't help myself so I took a sniff and was very agitated and no dreams. Got a huge bruise the size of a saucer on right leg. No idea how it got there and I don't usually bruise.

8. Male. Didn't take remedy. No dreams. Wife had strangest dream. Confused and mixed. She was having an affair with friend who was her husband as well. He became the friend and the friend became him. This friend is a real wheeler and dealer who likes to be in power over people.

9. Female. Pleasant dreams. House with no doors. Trying to evaluate whether it should be repaired or not. Twitching pains tip of left 2nd finger.

10. Female. No dreams which unusual for her. sleepy all day yesterday. couldn't stay awake in seminar. Took remedy again and had dream which totally alien to her. Aging and wife swapping. Several married coupes and their assorted consorts. Intrigue and deceit which involved keeping the affairs rolling. Father time played a joke on them and altered the sense of time and some couples thought it was a different day from what it was and the assignations became very confused and it was like a farce. Then people became like gold coast oldies. Platinum scarves, gold medallions, white trousers and white shoes. Plastic type artificial hair. Hollywood hardness about them. As though she were an observer of the dream. Amused her to see how the deceit was unraveled.

11. Male. Dream. Assessing a place for building investment. If we all put our money together we could earn something. In a room in a building assessing the room for building purposes. Then another man appears with a vending machine and he takes over. It is obvious to me that he is a crook, a night club owner like casino Mafia operation, gambling. Part of the vending machine. A slot where you put the money in. He brushes the coins aside and hides them. He is dishonest. Take the coins and not say anything. I am aware that I don't care. That is his problem. It is not important to me. Before took remedy watched terrible movie about rats which took over the world. Left a bad feeling with him. Usually this sort of thing does not affect him. Dreams early in the night which is unusual for him.

12. Female. Didn't even take remedy home. Time expanded in some way. Night went on for a long time. Dreams early in the night. Many dreams. Afraid of the dark. Didn't want to come fully awake and face what was out there. Woke at 2:30 felt as if the whole night had passed. One dream. As if house had been invaded by a gang of heavy types. Was not terrified in the dreams. Some sort of detachment. Whatever they were searching for it was not serious. What she had done wrong was not as serious and they were going to send in the traffic police. After the dream felt really afraid about turning on the light and what was out there. Another dream fragment. Had to wash bedspread which she hadn't used for 20 years. Couldn't wash because of rain. Night went on and on. Then slept for a long time which is unusual. Usually wakes much earlier.

13. Male. With a woman searching. Group of men with syringes. No escape. They injected him and paralyzed him. Woke up as paralysis came on.

14. Male. A fight between a dark man (probably of African descent) dressed in tribal clothes and carrying a long stick-like weapon, and another person, maybe my wife, who did not have the advantage of a weapon. It took a little while to figure out that the dark man had this advantage and it was hard to understand what to do about it. The next scene is in an Aikido dojo where I have a wooden sword and am able to parry the blows of the stick and hit the man across the head.

15. Female. The setting is a rather grand hotel. Not sure what I am doing there, but there is a war on in the hotel - no obvious signs of battle activity - just two armies in different uniform. I am affiliated with one of them but am standing beside the regiment in civilian clothing. I then go off and do something, I don't know what, and come back to my position beside the regiment. However, I look up and it is the opposing side. They are dressed in grey uniform, and have hairstyles akin to skinheads. I'm terrified. They give me two minutes to escape. I run off, along corridors, through doors, up and down stairs, and run into a room full of psychiatrists at a seminar. They are muttering to themselves "Yes, successful treatment, you could see how relaxed she was after the treatment" and I think to myself, "you dingbats, you have no idea what you are talking about." I then find my own regiment again and take up position beside them.
