I reside in Australia where a new law is seeking to ban the sale of raw goat's milk - I have no resources but the Internet connection, and have been searching for some tangible scientific paper or research outcome (or very strong endorsement by a recognised body) which could be placed before the government out here to discourage such a move.

My understanding is that there are a lot of excellent indications for the use of raw goat's milk - but I need some hard facts - can you refer me to some at all? Either citing recognised research, or recognised learned opinion, etc?

I live in Queensland, where the issue is at its peak (by the end of Oct 96).

Please also forward this message to anyone you feel can help. I need specific information able to be substantiated by scientific data.

Your help would be greatly valued in any way at all that you are able to offer it - don't hesitate to comment, but especially I need info on learned papers or data showing the values of raw goat's milk.

The International Academy of Classical Homeopathy founded by George Vithoulkas and located on the Island of Alonissos, Greece is beginning a four-year program in Classical Homeopathy. The course is divided into two fortnightly terms of intensive lessons, twice a year. The teaching will be done by George Vithoulkas supported by multimedia technology.

A clinical course, specially designed for European and American homeopaths or students (see below for a detailed course description). The number of participants is limited to between 5 and 7, on a first come first served basis. To be eligible for participation, applicants need to have undergone basic training in homeopathy from any good school. You may be a practitioner or a senior student. It is important that you are sincere, earnest, and devoted to learning and mastering the scientific art of homeopathy.

Fees: U$500, accommodation and living expenses are not included. Fifty percent of the fees is payable at the time of application by international money order, demand draft, or cash (in favor of "The Foundation for Homoeopathic Research"). The remainder is due upon arrival in Bombay. Fees are transferable but not refundable unless one month advance notice is given. Why this course?

During extensive lecture tours and seminars Dr. Rajesh Shah, the director of the FHR, observed that the homeopaths in Europe and the U.S. are very enthusiastic about learning homeopathy. He also recognized that there are not enough opportunities for learning those aspects of homeopathy that allow one to fully exploit the efficacy of the science. For instance, the teaching environment in Europe and the U.S. does not permit training of homeopaths to treat serious cases of physical pathology such as asthma, pneumonia, infectious disorders, day to day acute diseases, etc. As a result, students are not confident in tackling these difficult cases.

In India the situation is totally different, providing the best opportunity to learn those aspects of homeopathy which students heard about, but never witnessed. This very difference is the main reason why we offer a clinical course in homeopathy, keeping in mind the needs of the western homeopaths and students.

What does the course offer?

This course provides clinic based homeopathic training. Your experience will include clinical exposure for about 3-5 hours daily, whereby you observe a number of acute as well as chronic cases, difficult as well as routine, which you will be trained to work out for yourself. Highly planned training will certainly allow you to appreciate the logic of classical homeopathy, step by step. The practical aspects of classical prescribing will be tackled in separate discussions daily.

The case-taking, case analysis, evaluation, the approach, construction of the prescribing totality, the repertorisation, remedy selection, posology, the repetition of the dose, the second and subsequent prescriptions, etc. will be taught in a practical manner with profound clarity.

The materia medica will be taught at an advanced level, covering lesser and well-known remedies at length. Besides, the study of a number of remedies based on the daily cases will broaden your capacity of prescribing. Many remedies will be taught live or with video, as well in the form of paper cases.

The clinic will be the main classroom, and the patients will be the principal instrument of learning. A minimum of 6 hours of intense training plus two hours of self-study, as directed by the supervisor, will amount to a real transformation within three weeks!

About Dr. Rajesh Shah

He is the director of the FHR and the principal teacher of the course. Those who have attended his seminars in Europe during thelast 4-5 years may not need his introduction. Dr. Shah received his doctorate from the renowned CMP Homoeopathic Medical College as first of his class. He is an honorary professor at the same college and honorary physician at Mumbadevi Homoeopathic Hospital. Dr. Rajesh Shah has been involved in the study, education, research, and promotion of classical homeopathy for the past 15 years.

He released his first book entitled, My Experiences with Ferrum metallicum, in 1991, which has been acclaimed internationally. His editorials in the periodical Homoeopathy Times have been called thought-provoking.
