Does anyone know of a central comprehensive source to get information on
seminars/workshops in North America and overseas? By the time I see them advertised its
often too late to plan time away, plus I know there must be more out there than what I see
advertised in the couple of journals I subscribe to. Maybe Homeopathy Online could
consider such a service? I'm currently interested in something in September in Europe or
India. Thanks

Dear Maria,
While I am certainly not a practitioner, I was lucky enough to find a good one here in Michigan who has helped my family tremendously. Some good advice that I received from her, and others, is
1. The body heals in reverse, and on some occasions experiences "healing crises." This sounds like what is going on with your son. I certainly don't wait three months for allergy remedies to work, and I would be very inclined to seek additional homeopathic help. The symptoms didn't show up overnight and are not going to go away overnight.
2. MAKE SURE YOU GET MUSCLE TESTED BEFORE YOU ACCEPT ANY REMEDY!!! I did not believe this until I learned to do some of it myself, with repeated successes. When I married my husband in 1990, we had to shut him in the house, all windows closed, when we mowed our grass...and his eyes still swelled practically shut! After seeking a consultation with our homeopath, she recommended NATURAL (rather than OTC synthetics) vitamins that went well beyond the RDAs for all B vitamins, choline, inositol, and vitamin C. She also recommended, after complete muscle testing of each product, using Histaminum 30c (histamine regulation), Early Grass 30c (allergen), and Nat Mur 12c (sneezing), initially and frequently until the worst symptoms subsided. This was followed by monthly doses of Histaminum (natural histamine) over the course of the next few years to help build his resistance. Within 1.5 years HE WAS MOWING THE GRASS HIMSELF, and continues to do so now. He and my son have dairy, smoke, and other food allergies that she has also treated successfully. But, treatment is different with each person and situation.
3. FIND OUT WHAT THE ALLERGEN(S) ARE. Successful treatment is based best on hitting the source of the problem. Also, what's he eating? Pop? Candy? Sugars? Foods with preservatives (sulphates, nitrates, colorings)? When we eliminated these items from my son's diet, his allergy treatment success rate improved in time and symptoms OVER 80%.
4. Are there food or other items that are antidoting your remedies? How are the remedies being stored and/or handled? It is my understanding that electricity, temperature fluctuations, light, and mishandling all lead to reduction or elimination of potencies in remedies.
5. Who are you consulting? Did you read this month's "Misadventures in Homeopathy Land?" I went through 3 practitioners and 11 MD/DO practitioners before finding someone truly knowledgeable in all areas of nutrition, homeopathy, biology, naturopathy, herbology, and medical and chiropractice sciences who also respects client integrity and the right to knowledge. Find someone like that by contacting the National Center for Homeopathy or some other like facility.
Please keep in mind that I am not a practitioner or homeopath. I simply enjoy sharing my success stories and resources where possible.
Write me! I can pass along your information and, if I get her permission, I'll pass her name, address and phone number(s) to you.

Hi! I would like to make a comment about the prevalent attitude regarding licensing
homeopathic practitioners. It seems to be the latest "cause" these days. Please
understand that I believe it would be helpful to have standards for training and
certification. However, thinking of MDs, I have visited some that were ok, but some were
totally incompetent. ALL were licensed and had to pass boards to become licensed. Since
homeopathy requires much more interaction on a deeper level between the doctor and
patient, the possibility for making a poor seletion becomes infinite.
I believe licensing pratitioners won't cure everything. Getting the book work down doesn't mean a person will be a good practitioner. In other words, it will still VERY much be up to the patient to learn enough to choose the RIGHT practitioner for him or herself.
Thank you.
